I need to make homemade bread to bring to Thanksgiving. I have never made any bread but banana and zucchini. I do not have a bread machine, so I need a recipe that does not use one. What is your favorite? Whatever one I make will get best answer!!

I’m looking for a sweet bread recipe for Easter. My Aunt used to make this and I can’t find the recipe. The only thing I remember for sure is that there were raisins in it. I do know that a bread machine was not involved. Other recipes for any kind of homemade bread would be great as well.

The paddle on my breadmaker machine is leaking silicone grease (or whatever that sticky gross black stuff is.) Is this kind of thing repairable? If so, where should I take it? How much would it cost?

Can’t afford to buy a new one, and I don’t trust things that have been donated to Salvation Army/ Goodwill, etc. Need to repair it, or live without homemade bread.
