I have a bread machine that bakes 2-3lb loaves. I love the recipes that come with it, but I want to try something new. Problem is, I cant find any recipes for 3 lb loaves! I’ve made lots of 2 lb loaves so I dont need recipes for that. Does anyone know where I can get some good 3lb bread recipes?

I’m looking for some unique bread recipes to make with my Turkey feast. I have a bread machine and I also enjoy traditional recipes. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

All the recipes call for bread flour I’ve looked in the stores and no one has that all they have is all purpose flour. I assume you can use that in bread recipes for bread machines?

I don’t have a bread machine so need recipes that don’t require one. They need to be whole wheat or oat flour recipes and be low calorie/low-carb ones. I know you can buy them but when I look for recipes to make one I can’t find any.

Please, what are your favorite bread recipes?

I have some great family bread recipes, but it’s for the oven and I borrowed a bread machine from a friend and I thought I would try making them in there, but I don’t know if it will work. I don’t have the manual for the bread machine so I don’t know the cooking times and temps for each setting.
If I can’t use my recipes, I need a bread recipe for pumpkin and zuccini in the bread machine that you have tried and it works great.

My bread machine is an older model and I don’t have the recipe book. It is only a 1 pound loaf machine, any good potato bread recipes out there for a 1-pound-loaf machine..?

If you have other 1-pound recipes you’d like to share you may message me. Thanks.

I don’t eat dairy products, so I was disappointed to see that most of the recipes in the book that came with my bread machine call for nonfat dry milk. I am able to find recipes online that do not call for this ingredient, and they work fine, but the experience has left me curious as to what exactly the milk is for. How does it contribute to the bread taste or texture? Can I just leave it out, or is there something I can and should replace it with?
Thanks for the link, Cooking Kay! My question is just a little different because I don’t want to use liquid milk, either. Since many other bread recipes (found online) just use water, flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and sometimes oil, I was wondering why all those in my bread machine book called for dairy. I understand why powdered milk is better/easier than scalded milk, but why is milk needed at all? For taste, texture, or something else?

Does anyone have a web site for bread recipes that do not use a bread machine? (I don’t have one nor want one).

Alternatively, is there a way to convert bread recipes to not?

I’ve heard that if you use active dry yeast you should proof it, at least with regular bread recipes, but what about bread machine recipes? Should I proof it or should I do what the manufacturer suggests? My booklet says liquid, dry ingredients, yeast. Also, what has a better end result when it comes to bread from the bread machine, active dry or bread yeast?

I recently bought a book of bread recipes for my bread machine. However, they’re calling for gluten. What is it and where can I get it? Is it necessary, or is it already in the bread flour?
