I have REGULAR white flour and I really don’t want to have to look for/buy "SPECIAL" flour just to make a loaf of bread! I just got a new bread machine and am really anxious to try it out….but I’d like to just be able to work w/what I’ve got in my kitchen already.
Anybody have a recipe that they’ve used themselves? Please don’t send "links"….I’ve already done some searches….I’m looking for a recipe w/personal experience behind it!
ok…woops-another thought….what if you don’t have dry milk…can you substitute w/regular milk and if so, do you increase or decrease the qty?
I used to have a great recipe but I can’t find it. I’m looking for a type that calls for the yeast packets and (possibly melted cant remember) butter. Maybe it was hot water. I will try any recipe posted and let you know how it comes out
I’m looking for a simple bread recipe that doesn’t use a machine. I have a bread machine but I’d like to try making more breads without it. Thanks!
One part of the braid was lemon poppy seed and the other braid was cherry almond. The book also had a recipe for a tiramisu bread that was made completely in the bread machine. Need both recipes if possible or where I can purchase a copy of the book though a few years old.
My family is going on a diet, and I love to make homeade bread that I can eat sandwiches on. I like the kind of bread that cooks and everything in the bread machine. Please give some suggestions… Thanks. Also, If you have some other good healthy recipes they would be appreciated…
My wife has threatened divorce if I get any more but this is what I have
1 stand mixer
1 blender
1 hand mixer
1 stick blender
2 food processors (big and small)
1 toaster
1 pasta machine
1 crepe maker
1 cotton candy machine
1 crock pot
1 wine chiller
3 juicers (not my fault…..wedding gifts or shower gifts)
1 electric skillet
1 fully automatic ice cream machine
1 freezer bowl ice cream machine
1 microwave
2 refrigerators
1 spice grinder
1 bread machine
1 electric smoker
2 drip coffee makers
1 espresso machine
2 electric perk coffee makers (one huge and one 10 cup)
1 electric knife sharpener
1 waffle iron
1 steamer/rice maker
1 vacuum sealer
1 dish washer
1 electric scale
And, I bet somebody is going to put something on their list that I forgot. Is there anybody out there that has a more ridiculous list than I (and trust me, half of my list is a waste).
I only get paid once a month. It’s getting to the end of the pay period and we’re broke almost out of sugar but I really don’t want to go without bread until I get paid. Our recipe is a little weird, more like a regular bread recipe than a bread machine recipe. We put the sugar, water, and yeast in the pan and let it foam for about 10 minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients and starting the bread machine. My question is can I substitute powdered sugar or honey for the sugar and still have it work? If so, what kind of adjustment do I need to make to the measurements?
I would prefer a recipe that was egg free as well, but just gluten free is perfect! Thanks!
Oh and as long as I can substitute the milk for lactose free milk? That would be good as well.
I want to try my hand at making my own bread. Does anyone have any good low calorie/low carb recipes? Since it’s just me, a recipe that makes a mini loaf (or something like 1 lb. or less in weight) would be perfect. My favorite kinds are French, Italian, and whole wheat.
I have a bread machine so recipes for that would be great!
Thank you!
I love making my pizza dough in my bread machine, but the recipe I have is very blah. Do you have a good one?
